Aruba provided Jerry Tarley with the opportunity to lead one of the largest resort development projects of his early international career. Serving as General Superintendent, he directed field operations for a $26 million resort expansion that included the construction of four eight-story guest towers, a restaurant and office complex, pool improvements, and extensive renovation of existing resort facilities.
Responsible for coordinating day-to-day construction activities, subcontractors, schedules, quality, safety, and workforce management, Jerry successfully led diverse project teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment where maintaining schedule, controlling quality, and minimizing impacts to ongoing resort operations were critical. The project required extensive coordination among owners, designers, contractors, suppliers, and local trades to ensure successful execution of multiple concurrent construction activities.
The Aruba assignment further developed Jerry's expertise in large-scale commercial construction, vertical building construction, resort development, and international project leadership. It also demonstrated his ability to manage complex projects involving multiple structures, diverse stakeholders, and demanding client expectations while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and project delivery.
