This project was carried out as a second-tier subcontract for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) at T.H. Stone Memorial State Park. Situated within a federally protected coastal environment, the project necessitated meticulous coordination of construction activities, environmental compliance measures, and quality control procedures to ensure successful project delivery.
The scope encompassed the construction of two new Ranger Residences and the renovation of beach access restroom facilities that were damaged by Hurricane Michael. The Ranger Residences construction involved the installation of concrete pile foundations, structural systems, architectural finishes, appliances, utility connections, and all supporting turnkey construction services. Additionally, the project included the repair and renovation of public restroom facilities to restore functionality and enhance resiliency after the storm damage.
Coordination of multiple trades, material procurement, schedule management, quality control inspections, safety compliance, and environmental protection measures were critical due to the sensitive coastal setting of T.H. Stone Memorial State Park.
The project was successfully completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
