This project was a Won and Run (Midcon Builds wrote the proposal, estimated the project, and then performed as Project Manager, Design Project Manager, Environmental Control, Quality Control Manager, Safety Coordinator, and Specifier for the Prime Contractor) for the US Air Force.
The purpose of the Tyndall Air Force Base (TAFB) project XLWU 20-4018, Construct Natural Resources Center was to design and construct a facility to replace one destroyed by hurricane damage. This work was performed in full compliance with current building codes, including the DoD Building Code, and the portion of the Florida Building Code that contains the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions. It was a Design-Build New Construction project for a 1400 SF PEMB, including Building, MEPs, Finishes, Septic Tank and Lift/Grinder pump install, and Lightning Protection.
Work was completed successfully, and within schedule and budget.
