This project was a Won and Run (Midcon Builds wrote the proposal, estimated the project, and then performed as Project Manager, Design Project Manager, Environmental Control, Quality Control Manager, Safety Coordinator, and Specifier for the Prime Contractor) for the US Air Force.
The purpose of the Tyndall Air Force Base (TAFB) project XLWU 21-8107, Relocate Generator Facility, B42 is to relocate an existing emergency generator to a new location in support of a future mission requirement. The work provides a complete facility in full compliance with current building codes, including the DoD Building Code, and the portion of the Florida Building Code that contains the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions. It is a Design-Build New Construction project for a 192 SF PEMB, including Building, MEPs, and Finishes. SOW also included 2500 LF of Horizontal Boring adjacent to the Tyndall AFB Runway, inside of the flight line (completed) and demolition and abandonment of current generator building.
Work is completed.
